The Curious Tiny-Tots classroom is designed to provide a warm, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environment where our youngest learners feel safe, loved, and confident to explore. Our caring teachers focus on building strong early foundations through sensory-based learning, nurturing interactions, and consistent daily routines that support growth across all areas of development. Children in the Curious Tiny-Tots classroom engage in meaningful, age-appropriate experiences that promote early learning and healthy development. Through interactive play, music and movement, and guided exploration, children strengthen early communication, motor skills, and social-emotional growth while building comfort and trust in the classroom setting.
At Learning Beyond Academy, the Curious Tiny-Tots curriculum includes a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences such as sensory play, art, music and movement, early science exploration, simple math concepts, story time, and outdoor play—each designed to support one-year-olds in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.
We proudly follow the Experience Early Learning Curriculum, a research-based program aligned with Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Standards and endorsed by NAEYC. Trusted by educators for over 30 years, this curriculum allows our teachers to personalize learning experiences to meet the unique developmental needs of each child.

At Learning Beyond Academy, children learn best through a balanced approach of nurturing routines, hands-on exploration, and intentional teacher-guided instruction. Daily learning experiences include interactive play, small-group activities, music and movement, stories and conversations, and developmentally appropriate learning centers.
Our teachers create engaging opportunities for children to build early skills in literacy, math, problem-solving, and social-emotional development in ways that are meaningful, fun, and age-appropriate.
Daily learning experiences support key areas of development, including social-emotional growth, physical development, cognitive skills, adaptive skills, and language development. Through structured routines and engaging instruction, Pre-K Kidz strengthen independence, responsibility, and school readiness.
Circle Time is a short, welcoming part of our daily routine that helps Curious Tiny-Tots feel comfortable and connected in the classroom. Teachers greet each child by name and guide simple, engaging activities such as songs, fingerplays, movement, picture books, and interactive storytelling. Circle Time supports early language development, listening skills, and social connection while helping children build familiarity with routines and classroom expectations in a gentle, age-appropriate way.
Curious Tiny-Tots explore a variety of interactive learning centers, including a library area, music corner, sensory space, science station, art zone, blocks, and dramatic play. These centers provide engaging opportunities for one-year-olds to explore materials, strengthen fine and gross motor skills, and build early thinking and social skills through hands-on discovery.
Safety is always our top priority. Learning centers include soft materials, child-friendly equipment, and age-appropriate resources. Our dedicated Learning Beyond Academy teachers actively supervise and guide children throughout their learning and play experiences to ensure a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment.

Get active ... Platoon Toddler is a delightful fitness class specially crafted for toddlers aged 1 to 2 years old. This class is designed to introduce children to the joy of movement and develop their gross motor skills in a playful setting. The class begins with a dynamic warm-up that incorporates music and simple stretches to get those little bodies moving. The main activities focus on age-appropriate tumbling exercises, soft play, and exploration of colorful and sensory-friendly equipment like foam mats and soft balls. Toddler-friendly games to keep the atmosphere lively and engaging. A platoon-certified instructor brings enthusiasm and expertise to Learning Beyond Academy, ensuring a safe, joyful, and developmentally enriching fitness experience for our young participants. Get ready for a tumbling good time! Gym uniforms are required.
Interactive Story Time with Puppets is a fun and engaging enrichment experience designed especially for toddlers ages 1-2 years old. This activity supports early language development, listening skills, and social-emotional growth through short stories, and playful puppet interaction.
During each session, teachers introduce simple, age-appropriate books with bright pictures, repeated phrases, and familiar themes such as animals, colors, feelings, and daily routines. Puppets are used to capture attention, encourage participation, and help children build early communication skills through imitation, sounds, and simple words.
Children are invited to join in through clapping, singing, pointing, repeating sounds, and responding to the puppets in a gentle and supportive setting. This enrichment experience helps toddlers develop a love for books while building confidence, comfort in group activities, and early learning readiness.
Our Music and Movement class is a joyful experience. This engaging class introduces little ones to the world of rhythm, sound, and movement through playful activities that stimulate their senses and encourage self-expression. Each session begins with lively songs and interactive music-making, allowing toddlers to explore instruments and participate in sing-alongs. We incorporate age-appropriate movements, encouraging children to dance, hop, and sway to the beat, enhancing their gross motor skills and coordination.
In addition to our amazing outdoor play area, Learning Beyond Academy offers three exciting outdoor field trips each year to provide children with safe, meaningful opportunities to explore the world around them. These outings are thoughtfully planned to be age-appropriate, carefully supervised, and focused on helping our youngest learners connect with nature through hands-on experiences. Each trip encourages curiosity, discovery, and early learning through simple activities that support social interaction, physical development, and sensory exploration—all while creating fun and memorable moments for children and families.
Important Note:
Children under the age of 3 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or approved relative during all off-site activities and field trips.

Please review the following admissions requirements for enrollment in our Curious Tiny-Tots Program.
Children must be one (1) year old by September 1st to be eligible for enrollment.
This program is designed for children ages 1–2.
Families may choose from the following enrollment schedules:
Uniforms are required for all enrolled children.
If your child has an existing Individualized Education Plan (IEP), a copy must be provided for our records.
Additionally, any special services—such as speech therapy or other instructional support—must be in place prior to enrollment to ensure continuity of care and services.
All newly enrolled children are placed on a 30-day probationary period. This period allows both families and staff to ensure that Learning Beyond Academy is the best fit for the child’s needs and success.
